Since several years we intensively research and teach with the focus on: 
- E-Learning
- Knowledge Management
- Decision Support Systems
- Skill- / Competence Management
The broad range of topics leads to synergy effects, affording creative and innovative results; variously indicated by numerous publications – national and international.
The faculty’s fields of activities is reflected in many R&D projects: Together with national and international partners, we build a bridge between theory and praxis, university and business.

erp4students: ERP ancillary courses with SAP software
The Department of Information Systems for Production and Operations Management exclusively offers students the online e-learning courses for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with SAP-Software as part of a pilot project in cooperation with "SAP University Alliances”.
The e-learning offer is aimed at interested students from higher education organizations (universities, colleges of higher education, and universities of higher education) from Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands.
The following courses are scheduled in English:
- Integrated business processes with SAP ERP (TERP10) with SAP certification
- Introduction to SAP CRM
Further courses are offered in German.
The ERP e-learning courses were designed to not only provide the necessary theoretical knowledge but to enable the participants to experience many practical examples and problems in a "living" SAP system. This offers the students the chance to learn important SAP skills and to develop competencies during their time at university - enabling them to increase their career possibilities.
